LOWDOWN
The "genre-bending" works of the Coen Brothers will be screened at the MoMA from August 2 - 28 as part of the museum's ongoing Collaborations in the Collection film series.
Collaborations in the Collection selections come from MoMA's 22,000-plus film holdings, so rest assured that you'll find just about everything you'd ever want there—and in the highest possible quality!
The Coen Brother's twenty-four-and-still-counting-year-long collaboration is overlooked in many areas, unfortunately. Cult classics like Fargo and The Big Lebowski are limitlessly adored; high-water marks like No Country for Old Men are widely acclaimed and popularly accepted; but old sleepers like Arizona and Barton Fink are all but ignored. Collaborations in the Collection: Joel and Ethan Coen will right that wrong!
