

Derrick Jefferson is a Los Angeles based freelance writer who studied creative writing and literature before earning his MFA in Film from Art Center College of Design in Pasadena, California where he is the coordinator for the undergraduate and graduate film departments. Always in pursuit of the perfect story, he admires fish tacos, Toni Morrison, tattoos, music, vintage sneakers, comic books, art, and western shirts, but not necessarily in that order. He has written articles about Talib Kweli, Cillian Murphy, and Aesop Rock for Anthem and is working on a collection of short stories.
