Swax T. McIver - Writer

Swax T. McIver never intentionally set out on becoming a writer. No siree. In actual fact, by the tender age of three years old he was certain that a life spent either flying fighter jets or a career in the stock markets was what lay ahead of him. In hindsight, he looks back on those heady aspirations that soon fizzled out after he finally accepted that he was "not the best with arithmetic" and "essentially lazy", and laughs with a twisted, bereft sense of amazement. Well, most days at least. An accidental Jewish/London/Irish by-product of his "uncles of key influence": Hunter S. Thompson, Gregory Corso, Kurt Vonnegut, Benny Hill and, of course, Don Rickles, his chosen pastimes include; drinking tea and smoking - particularly in that order following a slap-up seven dollar meal at his favorite restaurant, the Pakistan Tea House on Church Street, between Duane & Reade Streets. His favorite poem is "The Whole Mess Almost", but he doesn't like people who eat with their mouths open. At all.
