Erol Alkan Interview on PSL

The rags-to-riches story of Erol Alkan is well documented and mythologized, but the superstar DJ/producer/musician rarely sits down for intimate and informative interviews. And who can blame the guy? With a side-project band dubbed Beyond the Wizard's Sleeve, too many production gigs to count, and the usual dose of club nights on his hands, Alkan probably doesn't have much time to spare for Swedish journalists.

Fortunately, PSL (a hip subsidiary of SVT) convinced the Turkish-born artist to chat with them for a few minutes. The resultant close look at Alkan is intriguing and worth checking out. We especially like when he talks about his early DJ'ing endeavors and his progression into the world of pop production through his involvement with the Long Blondes.
