Yes, Cut Copy has a new album coming out, In Ghost Colours (love the British spelling, right?), on April 8 via Modular Records. Yes, everyone's heard about it. Yes, everyone's loving the So Cosmic mix we posted a while back (exclusively!). Yes, everyone's loving the three singles that have been floating around the Internet. Yes, in short, the LP will be huge. Blow up. Scatter everywhere. "So Haunted" be the theme song for the next season of The Hills. Tracks from the album will be on Pantene Pro-V commercials. You'll hear "Hearts On Fire" when you're ordering your Big Mac at McDonalds.
The video for "Lights & Music" was just released, too—yet another thing to get psyched about, right? Check it out here. While this director dude, Krozm, who directed the thing doesn't seem to be the most creative, innovative, or exciting music video visionary around, at least we've got something to see. Looks like Cut Copy played at a cruddy high school prom with *fancy* a projector and disco ball for the film. Wow!
Anyway—if it's too painful to watch, just close your eyes and enjoy the wonderful tune.
ya...this video definitely has an 80s twang to it...but not in a good way.
