Helvetica, a 2007 documentary literally only about the fifty-year-old type face, has been touring around campus theaters, "indie" cinemas, and film festivals for over a year now, and has finally been released on DVD (we recommend you stream it with NetFlix's "Watch Now" digital streaming service, though). And Blu-ray! So for those of us who actually have a friggin' Blu-ray player (Anthem bought twenty HDVD players, but alas, they're worthless now), you can pre-order it to your heart's content.
Or just go with the ol' standby, DVD, instead.
The neat thing, though, is that Experimental Jet Set put together a special "record" package for a limited edition version of the Blu-ray release which you can pick up for the low, low price of $125. Wow. Maybe the fancy gatefold sleeve, bonus poster, and custom carrying bag will entice someone to shell out a few hundred for a Blu-ray player.
Additionally, if you've somehow missed the film by now (you really ought to check it out), it'll be shown as part of PBS' Independent Lens series later on this year.
