Mishka NYC is debuting its Summer 2008 collection with a bang that'll be difficult to ever outdo.
The company called on cultural icon/photographer Richard Kern―documenter of the extreme, the violent, the obscene, the erotic, and everything else on the fringes of society and life since the 1980s―for its T-shirt collection. Each piece features a stamped-on actual photo of Kern's, our favorite being the one with Lung Leg on it (because honestly, save for her, Kern's always had a penchant for capturing sort of creepy models).
The lookbook was shot by a former Kern subject, Ellen Stagg, and certainly runs with the overt sexuality we've come to know as Kern's trademark. The collection will first be available at a Williamsburg Mishka pop-up shop.
