Kudos to the winner of our One Step Beyond giveaway, courtesy of our BFFs at Flavorpill. Morin O. will be heading to the Museum of Natural History tomorrow night to see Talib Kweli along with Pete Rock and Buckshot. She warmed our hearts with a story about the last time she saw the hip-hop star perform. "He was playing at a charity event in San Francisco," she explained. "After delaying the show for two hours—yes, two—he finally came on stage... wasted. He missed cues, talked shit into the mic and only did three songs. I met him after his 'set' and he drunkenly invited me back to his hotel room... yeah right! I'm crossing my fingers that he'll make it to the stage sober this time!"
Anthem's happy to hook her up with a pair of tickets—for being a true believer fan and not another hip-hop groupie succumbing to the inebriated charm of Mr. Kweli. As for everyone else, tickets are still available for Flavorpill's One Step Beyond. Check it out here—and remember, it doesn't matter if you show up to the set wasted. It is a party, after all.
