The great Escalator Records of Tokyo, Japan, recently created an imprint label, Every Conversation, specifically for releasing Western music. Escalator has long been engrossed with U.S. and U.K. pop, so it only makes sense that the company developed a new arm to focus solely on bringing such music to a Japanese audience! So far, Every Conversation has doled out works by Think About Life, Ungdomskulen, Dibidim, the Deathset, the Tough Alliance, Pacific!, and many more. Not too shabby for an independent label in Tokyo... those are some big names!
Every Conversation just announced a new disc: 1, a thirteen-track CD compilation featuring all its roster members. Allured by the below tracklist?

The Escalator/Every Conversation folks were kind enough to give us a couple MP3s by their Japanese ensemble, Avalon. The Tokyo-based quartet infuses glitchy electronic dance music with angular synth- and guitar-pop, piling on hearty helpings of funky bass lines and spacey riffs, too. Escalator Records is closing its doors with the release of Yukari Fresh's forthcoming full-length. Labyrinth will be released on the new label, Crazy to Exist (get the reference?)
