These New Puritans may be working the clubs on their side of the Atlantic once again, but we caught them for their final North American show in L.A. on June 21 for an interview with frontman Jack Barnett and a peek at the show. Barnett informed us that he would be cutting his flashy armor after the concert at the EchoPlex making it (in our minds at least) all the more significant.
There may have been no drummer, but the temporarily-downsized band still put on a stellar show. They deftly pummeled their way through some classic tunes as well as a handful of newer ones, with stone-cold expressions of concentration on throughout. Intense but quite fun...
