Arne Jacobsen's Egg Chair Turns 50!

Arne Jacobsen's egg chair has weathered the tumultuous, ever-changing furniture design landscape and now, fifty years after Fritz Hansen began manufacturing the product, the sublime swivel pod is being celebrated with a special limited run of patchwork chairs designed by Tal R. (How's that for a name? It's certainly tough to forget!)
R.'s cheeky, playful reinterpretations of the egg chair will be on tour through 2009 or so. Most of the international dates aren't set in stone yet, but keep an eye on the Tal R. on tour website for more information as it becomes available.
