Did you miss Boredoms’ 77-drummer extravaganza last year in Brooklyn? Perhaps you were left outside the funzone due to mile-long lines and every-single-goddamn-person-in-the-borough trying to get a peek?
Thankfully, the numerically-obsessed noise rockers from Osaka are doing it again—and this time, with sponsorship assistance from Nike Sportswear, the shit goes bicoastal. Advance spots to both dates are well sold out, but Anthem wants to hook two New Yorkers and two Los Angelenos up with coveted tickets.
The L.A. Boadrums will take place at 8:08 PM on August 8 at the La Brea Tar Pits, long renowned for their prehistoric stench and as an elementary school field trip hot spot. The drummers featured this year have been selected by both Boredoms and 88BoaDrum artistic director, Hisham Bharoocha of Soft Circle.
The N.Y.C. event will take place at the Williamsburg Waterfront, 8:08 EST on August 8. Boredoms will lead the proceedings in L.A., and Gang Gang Dance will call the shots in Brooklyn.
