Oh No! Wolfmother Downsizes!

Text: Nik Mercer

It's a rare rock band that can sell 500,000 records these days; even rarer is a band of that variety that hails from Australia! Modular Records' Wolfmother, forever known for licensing its hit, "Love Train," for iTunes ad, is one such band. The trio announced today, though, that it's losing its bassist/keyboardist, Chris Ross, and drummer, Myles Heskett.

The Aussie trio released the following statement on its MySpace page:

Wolfmother has announced the resignation of bass/keyboard player Chris Ross and drummer Myles Heskett effective immediately.

Singer/guitarist Andrew Stockdale now plans to find other musicians over coming months and to then begin making a new Wolfmother album.

So don't worry, Wolfmother diehards and advertisement music supervisors! An album is on its way, and the band will be reborn... like the Phoenix.

Until then, we'll just have to sit through Chris Martin's iTunes schlock fest.
