Girl Talk—a.k.a. digital musician/agent provocateur Greg Gills—is going on a huge nation-wide tour in October, and we just snagged the unofficial six-song "tour only" CD. The CD is titled Knight Rid(d)er which I guess is a joke on the old T.V. show and the newspaper company Knight-Ridder (currently The McClatchy Company). (Don't want to name names on how we picked this disc up so early, but I do want to send a wink to "The Chadmaster.")
Knight Rid(d)er is crazy—even more extreme, funky, and rap-a-rock (is that a word?) than his proper albums. We would love to put the whole thing online in streaming audio, but respecting the copyrights and trademarks of Mr. Gillis (our lawyer sucks!), we've decided to just offer you a list of the samples used in the songs, which, yes, took us like an entire week to write out.
